FLINT – Tickets go on sale for Claressa Shields’ World Championship bout on March 5 at Dort Financial Center in Flint.

This is the good news.

The bad news is that less than 200 have been released for sale due to COVID-19 restrictions and they are selling fast.

Tickets went on sale at noon on Thursday, February 18, and by 2 p.m., about half of them were already sold, according to arena manager Jeremy Torrey. Ticket prices are $ 150, $ 225 and $ 300.

“I would recommend getting them very quickly,” Torrey said.

All seats will be on the ground floor and the fight will take place in Arena II.

The fight will be streamed live pay-per-view for $ 29.99 on FITE.tv. All the women will be on the card which is dubbed Herstory Night and Shields (10-0-0, 2 KOs) will face Canada’s Marie-Eve Dicaire (17-0-0, 0 KOs) in the main event to unify the women’s team super welterweight division.

Shields holds the WBO and WBC women’s super welterweight belts and Dicaire is the IBF champion.

Tickets can be purchased at the Dort Financial Center box office or online by clicking here.

The fight will mark the first time Shields has fought in his hometown as a pro. She will try to become the first woman in history to win undisputed championships in two weight classes.
