ATLANTA (CBS46) – Patrice McKinney, also known as “Sway,” and her twin sister Sharice McKinney are helping beauty professionals take ownership with a unique opportunity to lease space at Encore Salon Suites to various locations in Metro Atlanta.
“The only thing we promote is to be your own boss every day. These days everyone wants property. I think it’s important that we have the ability for beauty professionals to own a business without all of the extra costs, â€said Patrice McKinney, Founder and Owner of Encore Salon Suites.
McKinney says the benefit for these professionals of renting individual suites is that they have a fixed weekly rate and don’t have to worry about overhead costs.
The company hires out all types of beauty professionals including hairdressers, cosmetologists, barbers, braiders or even those who perform teeth whitening services.
In an interview with CBS46, McKinney shared a personal message of running a business and being an advocate for your community.
“Atlanta is a great place for LGBTQ people, that’s why I love Atlanta, and that’s why I’m proud to be able to represent the LGBTQ community. To give people motivation and hope, knowing that no matter what your sexual orientation you can be successful and you can have ownership, â€McKinney said.
