The Mobile Bowl has a title sponsor: The LendingTree Bowl will be played at 6:30 p.m. CST on January 6 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

The game has been the Dollar General Bowl for the past three years.
After the first Mobile Alabama Bowl in 1999, the game became the GMAC Mobile Alabama Bowl for one year, followed by nine GMAC bowls. Then came three years as GoDaddy.com Bowl and three years as GoDaddy Bowl before Dollar General took the lead on a three-year contract.
LendingTree is the nation’s premier online marketplace for loan offerings.
“We are happy and proud to welcome LendingTree as the title sponsor of this year’s bowling alley,” Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson said in a bowl statement. “College football is a tradition dear to Mobile, and we are grateful to the LendingTree team and the bowl organizers for continuing this tradition.”
The LendingTree Bowl will feature a clash between the Mid-American and Sun Belt conference teams, as the game has done for the past 10 years. In last season’s game, Troy defeats Buffalo 42-32.
The Mobile game will be the last bowl before the CFP National Championship competition, which is scheduled for January 13 in New Orleans.
The Monday Night Mobile Contest will be televised by ESPN.
