Opening of the real estate brokerage office ‘Compass’ at Locust Point

Compass Real Estate Brokerage is under construction in a new office at Foundry Offices 104 and 108 on Fort Avenue in Locust Point. The approximately 4,000 square foot space in the office complex was the former home of Studio 921 before the barbershop moved to McHenry Row.

New York-based Compass has entered the Baltimore market and is opening offices in Towson / Woodbrook and Locust Point. The Locust Point office has been operating in a temporary space at Mindgrub’s Mindhub in McHenry Row for the past year.

The Compass agent team includes the Jeff Washo team, the Baldwin & Griffin group, Charlotte Eyring and Timmie Taff. The sales manager for the Baltimore offices is Ashley Hess.

Office space in the historic Foundry Building on Fort Avenue has exposed brickwork, beams, columns, and ductwork, as well as polished concrete floors. It will have a reception area, several conference rooms, a kitchen, an open area and six closed offices.

The foundry office on Fort Avenue will open in January.

While some companies have moved to a more remote workplace, Jeff Washo told SouthBMore.com that he enjoys working in an office. He said it’s a “collaborative environment” where agents can talk about business and help buyers connect with upcoming listings.

Washo said he opted for Compass because it is a “top-level company” that is “technology-driven”.
