Kohl’s is adding a bit of glamor to many of its stores in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
It will bring Sephora to Kohl’s in its stores in Middletown, Holmdel, Stafford and Toms River by the end of 2022, Kohl’s said recently. He will unveil the amplified beauty department in 15 New Jersey stores this year.

It has a 2,500 square foot space inside the store that mimics the look and feel of a standalone Sephora store, featuring makeup, skincare, hair, and fragrance products. Sephora-trained associates also offer beauty consultations and help find products.
Sephora at Kohl’s has rolled out in 2020 to 200 stores to begin with, including 11 Kohl’s in New Jersey.
For Sephora, the partnership with Kohl’s helps expand the prestigious beauty retailer’s customer base while increasing foot traffic in Kohl’s stores.
It also helps expand Sephora, which also has a relationship with JCPenney, away from malls and into other locations in the United States.

Called “Sephora inside JCPenney”, the arrangement is set to end in late 2022 as JCPenney transitions to a new concept. Last year, JCPenney Beauty opened in select stores and online, with a nationwide in-store rollout slated to launch in fall 2022.
