The online career exhibition for 16-24 year olds will take place on June 17

Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Region and partner agencies are organizing an online job fair for 16-24 year olds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17.

Registration for Central Texas Youth Career Virtual Expo is online. Employers can register an interactive booth for the event in line also.

“Our virtual exhibit now securely connects employers in our region with their future workforce,” said Tamara Atkinson, Managing Director of Workforce Solutions Capital Area, a co-sponsor of the event.

Job seekers of all skill levels can meet local employers virtually and explore career opportunities, including part-time, full-time and apprenticeship positions.

Many employers seek to fill vacancies locally.

The exhibit also offers free online workshops on job searching, writing an effective resume and cover letter, and social media.

Young people can even visit representatives of local colleges and training centers about certification programs for high-demand careers in healthcare, hospitality, retail, catering, skilled trades and manufacturing.
