Being in confinement is not easy.
There is a lot of fear and anxiety, although a word of encouragement is that limiting how often you venture into public places helps. At home, these classes can be a major distraction and also teach you something.
1. Learn German with an interactive app
Maybe now is the time to finally learn a new language. I have parents who live in Austria, so I started a German course on Babbel. The app (and website) uses more of an interactive approach to learning – you listen, watch, then fill in responses as you learn.
2. Take landscape photos like a pro
I am an aspiring photographer, but I have always wondered how to improve my skills, especially when taking pictures outdoors. Nikon recently made all of their photography lessons free, and I looked at the one on landscape photography. I am grateful for the practical advice.
3. Write a thriller
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this writing course taught by The “Da Vinci Code author Dan Brown. Then I watched each episode in one sitting. It’s captivating because he’s so handy and implements examples from his own books.
4. Learn the guitar
i like how this online training site works. Real people can give you a lesson of about 30 minutes – teaching you the guitar or just about any other instrument. This is useful because there is also a social side to the app. And, some of the musicians are quite well known.
5. Tackle Adobe Photoshop Application
I have been trying to relearn Adobe Photoshop lately, but the program has become quite advanced. This course on Stackskills.com is very detailed – it goes through all the icons and uses real pictures that you can download to help you learn.
6. Become a digital marketer
I’ve always loved Udemy and not just because the name sounds like “you da man” – it’s a rich and deep site. I found this course on digital marketing it’s more detailed than most. The major bonus? After you finish it, you will know enough to promote just about anything. Besides, I also found this amazing baking class it makes everything clear like a cake.
