UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya posed with a pizza box during the weigh-in ahead of his light heavyweight title fight against Jan Blachowicz.

Adesanya weighed in at 200.5 pounds, four pounds under the lightweight limit, and didn’t take the time to show he was breaking his strict diet and congratulating himself before the fight.

The Nigerian is gearing up for his first octagon fight in the light heavyweight division, having dominated the middleweight scene for the past two years.

Adesanya – who is posting a perfect 20-0-0 record – is aiming to make history at UFC 259 against Blachowicz and become the latest UFC star to become a two-time champion.

The 31-year-old would join a rather exclusive club with Amanda Nunes, Daniel Cormier and Conor McGregor, all of whom have held title belts in two divisions at the same time.

Blachowicz is making the first defense of the light heavyweight title he won with a stoppage victory over Dominick Reyes in September of last year.

The Polish fighter also weighed in successfully for the bout. The defending champion came in at 205lbs and looked fine on the scales ahead of the biggest fight of his life.

The highly anticipated showdown between Adesanya and Blachowicz takes place in the early hours of Sunday, March 7 at The Apex in Las Vegas.

The main event will start around 5am for those in the UK, with the main card starting around 3am.
