West Park Style and Ink transforms scissors on a red ribbon in Avon Lake

AVON LAKE, Ohio – With so many sad business stories over the past year, it’s a pleasant surprise to witness the red ribbon cutting of a thriving business growing in the city.

West Park Style and Ink officially opened its fifth location recently, with Mayor Greg Zilka on hand and lots of fun and food for attendees.

“We are thrilled to help West Park expand its brand west of Lake Avon,” said Zilka. The hair salon / salon also has locations in Cleveland and North Olmsted.

West Park Style and Ink owner Patrick Burke said: “We are very happy with this opportunity. We will continue to provide the best hair and beauty care. “

He noted that the “ink” part of West Park Style and Ink is not yet in place as they are looking for a professional tattoo artist to join their team.

Burke said they chose Avon Lake for their new location after speaking with Todd Houston, a representative for a local business who persuaded them to take a look at the city due to the very large space they have. they would have it here.

Burke said the store will employ around 20 staff.

Services include cosmetology, barber, makeup artists, spray tans, eyelashes, dental gemstones, medical ear piercing, facials and much more – a true one stop shop for everything related to the style and beauty.

What could be the next step for such a go-getter? Burke has announced that he will be opening a barber school in the area. He also said he would seek philanthropic opportunities at Avon Lake and invite organizations to contact him for a possible relationship.

The West Park brand was born when friends opened the first West Park Barber Shop in Cleveland’s Kamm’s Corner neighborhood in 2006. Today there are four other locations: West Park Barber Shop Premier Lounge, also at Kamm’s Corner; West Park Barber Shop Premier Studio in North Olmsted; sister company West Park Beauty Salon on Lorain Avenue in Cleveland; and – of course – West Park Style and Ink in Avon Lake.
