Amos Lee announced Dreamland, a new studio album coming February 11 via Dualtone Records that finds the Billboard chart-topping artist returning with “Thoughtful Beauty” (NPR) and “his greatest asset: the altered voice he uses to probe emotional depths “(Pitchfork). While Lee has long made “music to help listeners heal” (Salon), he has most often brought to light the stories of others, be they those he met through Musicians on Call or counting fans with loved ones gone too early. But all along DreamlandThe eleven tracks of, each produced by Christian “Leggy” Langdon (Banks, Meg Myers), Lee perhaps takes his turn deepest inward to tell his own struggles with anxiety, isolation and despair. – opening up in an effort to help de-stigmatize mental health challenges; and especially in our present moment.

Along with the announcement of Dreamland, Lee also shared “Shoulda Known Better,” a radiant and euphoric new track that struggles with forgiving yourself when filled with remorse and moving past those moments of “waking up in the dark. ” with regret. As noted on both “Shoulda Known Better” and the recently released Dreamland single “Worry No More,” Lee is inclined to meet these challenges with an unwavering optimism and a penchant for connectivity. He shares: “I have had a lot of anxiety episodes in my life and now I feel a lot more equipped to deal with them, in part because my family and friends have always supported me so much … from our personal relationship with people and the world around us. During my life I have understood that music is my bridge to others. I have no idea what the waters are under this bridge – it could it is lava as far as I know – but the music allows me to float above it all and connect. “

Lee has also partnered with the Soundwaves Art Foundation to create original works of art using waveforms from his most beloved songs, including “Worry No More”, the proceeds of which will be donated to MusicCares: https: //soundwavesartfoundation.com
