Dior opens the most opulent spa in Paris

Dior Spa Cheval Blanc Paris, with interiors by Peter Marino, is set to become a new Parisian landmark

Everyone knows the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Notre-Dame, but starting this month, a new icon will join the ranks of the most outstanding monuments in Paris. Le Cheval Blanc Paris is a new hotel created by LVMH Hospitality as part of its majestic 16-year renovation of the historic La Samaritaine department store. The hotel itself should be a treasure trove of wonders, with its lavish rooms and postcard-worthy views of the Seine, but perhaps its most notable feature is the new Dior Spa.

With interiors by Peter Marino, the Dior Spa is designed to recreate the comfort of a Parisian apartment, with a cozy lounge that includes a fireplace, a selection of reading materials, and tea set. Guests are welcome to relax before or after visiting one of the spa’s six treatment suites.

Suites

Each of the remarkable suites is inspired by a different time in Dior history and offers its own unique selection of treatment options.

These include the “New Look” suite, with a structured decor, inspired by the avant-garde look created by Christian Dior in 1947, and equipped with a made-to-measure bed that allows six-handed treatment of the body and face. and hair, simultaneously. The ‘Bonne Étoile’ suite pays homage to Christian Dior’s lucky star with a magical starry ceiling in which to waste the time of a treatment.

Treatments

Dior has a long history of working at the forefront of skin care (as we discovered during our visit to LVMH’s top secret cosmetics center last year) and the treatments offered at Cheval Blanc reflect the brand’s penchant for combine innovative technology with good old-fashioned decadence. .

The Dior Crystal Sapphire Micro-Abrasion, for example, uses an oscillating tool coated with fine sapphire particles to gently exfoliate dead skin and promote cell regeneration.

Aside from treatments, guests can also take a dip in the mosaic-tiled pool at Seine level or blow-dry at the nearby Leonor Greyl Salon. §
