Why small businesses matter

Buy small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter shines the spotlight on local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods and services for the betterment of our community. The local store movement is going viral as local businesses that are tagged have the opportunity to share their stories!

You are IT ORGANACHS Farm To Skin!

Four questions with Siobhan D. McKinley, founder of ORGANACHS Farm To Skin.

Why did you start your business?

I was passionate about providing the community with the opportunity to discover effective, safe and results-oriented natural skincare products. I have spent my career in the beauty industry and after having children I became more aware of the importance of reading ingredient lists and being equally disciplined about what you put on your skin. body than what you put in your body.

Living an organic lifestyle as much as possible is important to me and I believe organic skin care is the healthier alternative to conventional brands.

What is your best-selling product / service?

I have several top selling products, but to highlight a few include Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum, Irish brand VOYA, and their Me Time Moisturizer, Suntegrity Sunscreen, Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser. We also offer facials from the internationally renowned Irish spa brand, VOYA. VOYA can be found in some of the world’s 5 star hotels and spas and we are honored to offer the same facials in our beauty cocoon at ORGANACHS.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

I have worked with Pink Aid to support Breast Cancer Survivors, the Westport Downtown Merchant Association, and have donated to many charity events over the past 5 years.

Have you “reimagined” your small business?

This summer, I’m launching The Home Collection by ORGANACHS. It is a capsule of decoration and accessories with a sustainable spirit. Each item has a unique story that embodies the tradition and craftsmanship of Europe and the United States. I have attached the launch image.
